Returned to Turner Creek, Savannah as the threat of Arthur was high in Wassaw Creek.

5/18/20 
Hilton Head SC - We enjoyed seeing friends from Peachtree City. They came aboard for drinks then dinner in Harbor Town Marina.

                        

5/19/20

Beaufort SC - Rough trip across Port Royal Sound. Waves and wind created a very rough ride. Kent did a great job navigating the rough seas but we all agreed not something we want to do often. We hooked to a mooring ball then took the dinghy to walk the lovely waterfront of Beaufort and get a well deserved drink! Beautiful full rainbow and 1/2 double.

Watched impressive jets come and go from the Marine Corps Air Station a few miles away. 

                 

5/20-22/20
Motored across Beaufort River to Ladies Island Marina.
Super nice people and facilities. We of course found the nearest dive bar, unfortunately no dogs so Bodie spent his first time on the boat in his kennel. He had a nice bone and seemed to manage pretty well. 

Nice view and cheap beer, so we went back the next night to Celebrate Kent's 60th Birthday!🎉🍺🦪

Fried oysters and shrimp tacos! Returned to the boat to enjoy the Armagnac from Arya, Molly, Bradley and Jordan. Two different bottles so Kent could partake in his love of the "taste test".

5/23-24/20

Charleston – Great old city! We bicycled through town with Bodie in the backpack. Beautiful old homes with lovely flower beds, nice ride by the waterfront and walked through a great dog park. Found a brewery, of course, practicing physical distancing and great beer.

Week 1 (5/14/20)

Week 1 (5/14/20)  
Leaving Savannah headed south to Wassaw Creek, GA. (near Skidaway Island)
We anchored out for 3 nights and took the dinghy over to the deserted beach. Bodie loved running free and chasing the small crabs. We tried to walk on the inland trail but mosquitoes were blood thirsty. Kent continued to tinker around the boat and I'm enjoying reading for pleasure.
