Week 13 ( 9/16/20)

Week 13

9/16-24/20 Middle River MD, Altoona & Pittsburgh PA

As I said earlier, we've only had the best people experiences, but at Middle River Landing Marina we were fortunate to be on the same dock with some locals. We had the best time and will definitely return next year to see them!

We rented a car to head into PA. First stop was friends in Altoona! It was Great to see Bob and Mary! Their hospitality was so very kind, beautiful home in the mountains, and they introduced us to Heinz Spicy Mustard! Who knew?

Traveled on to Pittsburgh to visit John and Melissa! Another fantastic meal with Wonderful friends! Had to stop and have a Primanti Brothers sandwich with local beers. Kent picked up some fresh charcuterie and pasta. Nice shops along the way. We walked for miles and ended up having to carry poor Bodie for awhile.

Also found out Arya & Molly are having a baby girl and welcomed little

Week 12 (9/14-15/20)

 

Week 12

9/14-15/20 Kent Narrows MD

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!🥳🍷🦀 Celebrated, of all places, in Kent Narrows on Kent Island! Had a fabulous bike ride to a state park, stopped for lunch at a side-walk café, beer at the Tiki Bar, then dinner at the Crab House! Fresh oysters and crab! Kent got me a beautiful, nautical oil lamp, talked with all the kids and Ginny! I had a Great Day!

                        Definitely want to go back for this!😎

Week 11 (9/8-13/20)

9/8-9/20 Rock Hall MD

9/10-13/20 Chestertown & Corsica River MD

One of our favorite places on the Chesapeake! Chestertown is adorable! Great marina, found a fabulous winery, ate Paella on the square, saw Washington College (chartered in 1782, 10^th oldest college in the US), very nice people (never met anyone unfriendly on our trip).  

Week 10 (9/1-7/20)

 

Week 10

9/1-7/20 Annapolis & Baltimore MD

Went for a nice bike ride around Annapolis, saw the US Naval Academy but were not allowed to go in. Found the BEST lump crabcake, on the Chesapeake Bay, in Annapolis! Survived a major thunderstorm! Very glad to be in a well-protected marina.

Really enjoyed Baltimore! Ended up staying close to the Fells Point area. Enjoyed music on the square, great beer and mostly visiting our nephew Trevor, his fiancée Zoe and great friend Chris! They showed us around Baltimore, had a beautiful meal at a sidewalk café and saw the Washington Monument (completed in 1829, 14 years to complete). We took them for a cruise around the Inner-Harbor! Beautiful day and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sights of Baltimore from the water
