October – November 2021
It is nice being back on land for a while. We enjoyed
spending time with Arya, Molly and Nyjah! We stayed in an Airbnb between the girls
and the marina. It had a nice front porch where we watched many
sunsets, birds (loved the wild green parrots) and friendly neighbors. We enjoyed
relaxing with the Mays at their lovely home on the river. We went to the fall
festival, enjoyed discovering new and returning to familiar restaurants,
breweries, hikes, farmers markets, and seeing a few old friends! We had
Daydream hauled out to have her bottom cleaned and repainted. Kent did many
preventative maintenance items, I helped a little, but he worked many days
getting Daydream ready to go again. It was a little unnerving watching her hang
from straps as they brought her out of the water. I spent as much time as possible loving on
Nyjah. Molly’s parents came down the weekend before Thanksgiving so we could
all celebrate together and then Kent made a traditional turkey dinner on
Thanksgiving. Of course, watching the parade, dog show and football.
Arya and Molly found out they will be moving to Birmingham
AL in July where Arya will start her fellowship in Endocrinology! They are very
excited as U of A has an excellent hospital that works in teams where the Endourologists
specialize. Arya was able to complete her rotation in Birmingham, visit the
town and really enjoyed it. Molly will be able to work remotely for Goodwill
and hopefully continue in her current position developing and organizing their
on-line learning courses.
October Fest! Bodie & Chicken laxing on the recliner!
Bradley and Jordan continue to thrive in Seattle; earing promotions in their perspective fields, loving their new apartment and enjoying Luna! They’ve taken many fun trips into the Cascade Mountains, over to Leavenworth and across to Bainbridge Island. Washington had several inches of snow which Luna loved playing in and Jordan got some lovely pictures!
